Anduril partnered with Teague to rapidly design and build a full-size show model of their autonomous aircraft, creating an impactful sales tool capable of showcasing the product at international events.

Deliver precision at speed.

For defense innovators, the right show model can mean the difference between a conversation and a contract. That’s why Anduril, one of the fastest-moving companies in autonomous defense technology, set out to showcase Fury, a cutting edge drone, at a premier international aviation show. The ask: design and build a high-fidelity, 30+ foot show model—in just six weeks.

With no existing build plan, Teague had to own the entire process end-to-end, rapidly solving for structural integrity, transport logistics, and precise reassembly without compromising precision. Conventional manufacturing couldn’t meet the timeline with the required scale and fidelity, so we—and our trusted network of suppliers—developed new methods to make it possible.

It's all in the details.

Facing a tight schedule and ambitious requirements, Teague immediately initiated intensive planning and close collaboration both internally and externally. The project leveraged Teague’s 35,000 square-foot prototyping and mockup facility, staffed by expert technical designers and build specialists. Our teams managed the timeline rigorously, holding twice weekly progress updates with Anduril to maintain transparency and alignment.

Recognizing the scale and precision required, we coordinated closely with external partner Bayview Composites, who innovated a groundbreaking fabrication process specifically to construct the model’s fuselage and wing structures at the speed and precision demanded by the project. To accommodate the Fury model’s substantial fuselage, our team swiftly constructed an extension to our paint booth, ensuring impeccable finishing standards.

Detailed engineering analyses informed every step, from precise parts fabrication to structural planning. Our designers and engineers closely coordinated, meticulously specifying tolerances and assembly procedures, and collaborated intensively with external partners to seamlessly integrate novel fabrication techniques. This dual approach—internal expertise combined with external innovation—enabled rapid iteration, precise execution, and efficient adaptability.

Sleek, modular, and ready to ship.

Teague successfully delivered a meticulously engineered, highly detailed show model within an exceptionally tight timeline. Through careful management and intensive coordination, we addressed and solved critical engineering challenges, such as achieving tight margins that left no visible gapping between assembled sections—a huge achievement for such a large, modular structure.

Anduril praised the model’s packaging, intuitive unboxing experience, and straightforward assembly process, highlighting it as the simplest they've encountered. This ease of use was central to the design, ensuring not only visual excellence but practical functionality tailored for trade shows—quick set-up, effortless tear-down, and seamless shipping. The model’s ease-of-use became essential for Anduril’s trade show success, ensuring impactful sales engagements at the Paris Airshow and enhancing their industry presence and competitive edge.
