In this position you’ll work alongside some of the best and brightest talent at TEAGUE able to execute on any design challenge, from large-scale conceptual environments and brand experiences to small component level details.

Why We Need This Position

One of TEAGUE’s guiding principles is ‘thinking through making’.  Technical Designers are the ones who carry the work from design concept to mockup reality, giving colleagues and clients a chance to observe and test their theoretical ideas in the real world.  Successful innovation in the realm of global aviation also requires technically savvy types, hyper-organized multi-taskers with a creative outlook, people who are adept at juggling shifting priorities, and those who understand the importance of keeping clients happy—in this case, all in the same person.

Who We’re Looking For

You are creative, technically savvy, highly disciplined and flexible. You also happen to love aircraft. As the Senior Technical Designer, you get to put your creative talents to work communicating mockup design ideas and concepts through sketches, presentation and 3D CAD.  You also have a solid grasp of manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques and you’ll generate digital data packages that include detailed drawings and work instructions.

You are also a leader.  You’re capable of leading a project team with ambiguous and dynamic requirements with an open and reasoned approach.  You’ll build consensus while navigating cross-discipline relationships while staying focused on deliverables.  You can effectively filter the noise, understand critical tasks and keep the project team focused on their deliverables.

Then there’s managing stuff.  You need to know how to develop and manage a schedule, set clear expectations with stakeholders and develop, maintain and navigate client relationships.  You also need to understand stand how scope, schedule, and budget interact and influence project outcomes. So, if you like to wear many hats—facilitator, communicator, designer, builder—we want to hear from you.
