The Research Intern is responsible for supporting the Research & Strategy team with several research-related tasks, including data collection, data entry, field work, interviews, literature reviews, data analysis and presentation preparation. The position demands experience and knowledge of research methods as well as a willingness to learn new techniques.

At TEAGUE, the Research Intern serves as a crucial link, doing rigorous exploration and analysis and then communicating actionable insights to multi-disciplinary teams in beautifully visual and engaging ways. On any typical day, you may find yourself working to define answerable research questions and developing protocols; using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to collect, analyze, and create research findings. You are solution-oriented, love fruitful collaboration, and can work effectively on your own. Timing & Duration

We hope to hire our intern in 2017. We can be flexible on start date and weekly hours. We expect to need help for 3 to 6 months, with a break at year-end holiday time.

 

What We Just Said, Now in 5 Bullet Points (a.k.a. Essential Qualifications):

  • Experience: Currently exploring an industry move to aviation, or pursuing/completed a Bachelors Degree in Human Factors, Psychology, User Experience Research, Social Sciences or equivalent field; 2+ years of experience conducting research.
  • Skills: working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and other A/V production, and knowledge of statistical programs (e.g., SPSS) preferred
  • Role: Gathering information and organizing it in order to inform design teams
  • Personality: Organized, focused, motivated, collaborative, social, outgoing
  • Passion: Using research to inform the design process and telling meaningful stories about what you learn
