The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the building operations for several of our client’s most critical sites. This includes managing all aspects of the facility and tenant improvements, including request for proposals, project management, financial management; systems management; staffing; and interfacing with the client.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re an organizational and budget-conscious mastermind with deep nuts-and-bolts facilities knowledge, dazzling people skills, a no-detail-is-too-small approach, and several years of in-the-trenches management under your belt. Sound like you? Read on. In this position, you’ll wear several hats. As manager of building operations, you’d not only oversee all T.I. work—from developing scope and RFP, to project and financial management—but you’d also be responsible for the various building management systems—HVAC, electrical, lighting, and A/V. You’d also be in charge of implementing vendor management best practices to review costs, benchmark with similar facilities and audit performance. You’d also develop standard operating procedures; manage the budget; and make recommendations for changes that would increase efficiency and value.

 

In addition to managing all the big-picture responsibilities listed above, you’d be responsible for ensuring that the facility is shipshape every single day. This means ensuring that equipment is operating correctly, developing troubleshooting techniques, and identifying problems before others are even aware that they exist. You’re prepared to serve as an ambassador for TEAGUE, evangelizing about the company’s offerings through staff trainings, information audits and development of key points. Finally, but perhaps most importantly, you have sensational people skills and can deliver excellent customer service at every level, whether interacting with executive-level clientele, government officials, suppliers, community leaders, vendors, or TEAGUE staff.   • Experience: Bachelor’s degree in design, business, hospitality or equivalent experience; 8+ years in related field such as high-end customer service, design showrooms, or facilities; 5+ years managing staff; Experience managing a large, complex property, including scope development, financial oversight, project management, best vendor practices; development of standard operating procedures; and lease management.
  • Special skills: Extensive knowledge of management systems, HVAC, Electrical, Lighting and A/V; managing staffing on a daily basis; Vendor management and HR knowledge.
