Interaction Designer.
Seattle, WA

The Interaction Designer works closely with their team to create compelling design concepts and strategies for major brands. The person in this role has experience with the fundamental design principles and methodologies that fall under the traditional discover, design, deliver process and is comfortable collaborating closely with other creative teams.

Why We Need This Position

As an interaction designer, you will be a part of TEAGUE’s evolving legacy of as we fuse the gap between the physical and the digital to help our clients bring innovative products and services to market. This means you are an interaction designer competent with GUI design but thinks beyond the screen. You are clever at simulating experiences to achieve an understanding of users, test hypotheses, and persuade stakeholders. Your designerly understanding of people and technology will extend, challenge, and add new dimensions to TEAGUE’s established physical design prowess. As an interaction designer, you will significantly influence what interaction design means at TEAGUE to meet—or better yet, exceed—our clients’ objectives.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a dynamic, tech-savvy, solution-oriented designer who has both strategic vision and a tactical mind. You enjoy exploring unique perspectives and pushing boundaries, but are accustomed to working within clearly defined constraints and capable of clearly articulating the solid rationalization behind your ideas. In this role, you would work alongside ACD/CD’s to help craft the narrative arc of team presentations. On any given day, you may find yourself producing static wireframes and flows on paper and digitally at appropriately low to high fidelity; producing simple click-through simulations to demonstrate flow or nuanced interactions and motion; or annotating wireframes for communication with team, clients, and developers. As you take ownership over bigger chunks of the work, you’ll also produce extensive, detailed design documentation for communication with team and developers. You’ll also assist with the planning, execution, and synthesis of user testing and primary research.

Personality-wise, you are a proactive learner, eager to expand your skill set and cultivate capabilities with auxiliary skills related to your work. Although you are still exploring your options, you are beginning to specialize in a particular skill, method, tool and/or topic, honing in on your own designer identity. You’re comfortable with the prospect of presenting straightforward, linear content to clients, such as wireframe flows and playing a strong supporting role in planning, preparing, and running client workshops and brainstorms. If you are an active member of the design community, passionate about your industry, and keen to grow your skills and collaborate with teams that are constantly pushing boundaries, come talk to us.
